UEFA has announced a significant reduction in ticket prices for away fans attending its men’s club competitions, beginning with the 2024/25 season. The price caps will be set at €60 ($66.4) for UEFA Champions League matches, €40 ($44.2) for UEFA Europa League games, and €20 ($22.1) for UEFA Conference League fixtures. This decision is part of UEFA’s broader commitment to making football more inclusive and ensuring that passionate supporters who travel to support their teams are valued and recognized.
The price reduction is backed by the European Club Association (ECA) and Football Supporters Europe (FSE), who have praised the move as a step forward for fans. UEFA plans to further lower the price caps in the 2025/26 season, with the Champions League maximum dropping to €50 ($55.3) and the Europa League to €35 ($38.7), while the Conference League cap will remain unchanged.
This initiative is part of a larger effort by UEFA to enhance the overall matchday experience and keep football accessible to all, ensuring that the vibrant atmosphere created by away fans continues to be a defining feature of European football. UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin highlighted the importance of this move, emphasizing UEFA's ongoing mission to keep football inclusive and fan-friendly.
ECA Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and FSE Executive Director Ronan Evain also expressed their support for the decision, noting its positive impact on the fan experience and the crucial role that away fans play in creating the unique atmosphere at European club fixtures. This collaborative effort between UEFA, clubs, and fan organizations underscores a shared commitment to placing supporters at the heart of the game.
