Three Juventus players were individually praised after Tuesday night's encouraging 1-1 draw with Lille in the Champions League, including striker Dusan Vlahovic, who scored his 50th Bianconeri goal from the penalty spot.
Despite just one point, Juventus received mostly positive reviews for their performance against Lille. The pundits were particularly pleased with the positive reaction of the team after his return and the way they applied the pressure in the second half and at the final whistle.
Three outstanding Juventus players against Lille
Vllahovic received mostly positive marks after the final whistle. He was calm and collected from the penalty spot, and also saw his very good first-time effort blocked by a world-class save from Lucas Chevalier after half an hour. Francisco Conceicao, who won Vlahovic's penalty, was also particularly encouraged by his return from injury.
Some suggest he took the punishment lightly; at least he seemed to know what he was trying to achieve, but the Portugal international was involved in almost every attacking move his side made as Juventus took the lead in the second half.
Conceicao was assisted on the right flank by versatile defender Andrea Cambiaso, who has arguably been one of Juventus and Italy's most consistent performers in the 2024-25 season.
His forward runs and exchanges with Conceicao gave Lille a lot of trouble to deal with on the right, and eventually led to the decision awarding Juventus the penalty.
