Pep Guardiola says Kevin De Bruyne and Nathan Ake are unavailable for Sunday's Premier League return against Wolves.
De Bruyne has been out for a month after being forced off with a groin injury during our Champions League game against Internazionale.
Ake, meanwhile, has been sidelined since injuring his thigh in September while on international duty with the Netherlands.
Speaking to the media at Friday's pre-match press conference, the City manager gave the latest on the pair and also gave an update on the availability of the rest of his squad.
"I don't think so. No, I'm not ready,” said Pep.
"They are training and yesterday Nathan had his first training session with the team. Maybe he can travel, but to start, he is not ready.
"Some Brazilians. Manu [had a problem after the international break]. City travel to Molineux for their first game after the October international break, hoping to extend their unbeaten start to the season.
The reigning champions are currently second in the table, just one point behind Liverpool.
Wolves have had a difficult start to the season, with Gary O'Neil's side sitting last with just one point to their name.
Guardiola, however, expects the toughest possible test in the black country.
"They got fewer points than they deserve, that's what I can see," added the City coach. “They have always been tough on Wolves since Nuno Espirito Santo was the manager.
"They have always been exceptional."
