Manchester City, the English Premier League champions, have tonight touched down in New Delhi, India, as part of their Champions 4-in-a-Row Trophy Tour to mark their victory in the English Premier League four times in a row (2023-24).
To celebrate this special occasion, the club has come with the Premier League trophy as well as the Club World Cup and Community Shield. These exclusive silverware will be taken in a string of activities for the INDIAN fans with the assistance of Shaun Wright-Phillips, Manchester City and former England international.
The tour also features a fan event due on September 22, at Vegas Mall where fans are expected to take a photo with Wright-Phillips and welfare as Manchester City tussles with Arsenal FC. Looking ahead to the trip, Wright-Phillips described himself as excited, he said: “It’s great to be going to India as part of the Champions 4-in-a-Row tour.
He also spoke of the match against Arsenal, saying, “Our visit comes at a critical Premier League match and fans can participate in a senior match event whereby they get to watch the match on Sunday.
With the brilliance of players possessing the quality of Kevin De Bruyne, City can keep the momentum going strong after a season in 2023/24. This season’s Premier League defending champions are, for the moment, on 12 points after four consecutive victories.
For their part, Manchester City is also organizing a trophy tour, which is accompanied by a free coaching course that targets enhancing the community and grassroots coaches from Manchester's healthy living through football. Besides, in line with the club’s sustainability vision, its goal is to provide more than 150 community coaches in five Indian cities.
