Man Utd faces Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon and they could be set to be without a number of their big-name players.
Manchester United and their players have been given a new fitness blow in the Premier League this weekend against Brentford.
That could prove to be tricky for Erik ten Hag who will need to see his side perform better to relieve the pressure on his position although he could be forced to field a makeshift side following the latest team’s injury blow.
Manuel Ugarte has played well for Uruguay in their match against Ecuador which ended in a barren draw and later suffered an injury that looked like a cramp in the 82rd minute forcing him to be substituted. Another blow for Ten Hag came as the 23-year-old player was taken out of the action by a member of the medical group.
Ugarte performed excellently on the pitch. To this effect, he conducted four tackles, two Interception, one clearance, and one blocked shot, besides having ninety – nine percent passing efficiency.
The £42 million signing from Paris Saint-Germain is likely to return to Manchester on Wednesday to undergo a medical check-up before the United's next game of the weekend.
Ugarte’s potential knock comes at the worst possible time given United could be missing as many as nine players for the Brentford game. Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo all pulled out of international action, while Mason Mount failed to feature in the last two games. Noussair Mazraoui and Harry Maguire will be out for at least several weeks, and the defensive pair of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are unfit for matches. Long-term absentee Leny Yoro could return to the Pitch next month.
