Liverpool remain open to the possibility of star striker Mohamed Salah leaving Anfield in 2025.
The Reds are currently in contract renewal talks with the Egyptian, whose contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 season, along with team-mates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexader-Arnold.
All three will be offered renewals of their expiring contracts, but there are no specific updates on the progress of negotiations as we head into late 2024.
The winning goal in Liverpool's 2-1 Premier League win at home to Brighton & Hove Albion takes Salah to 8th on the all-time goalscoring list with 164.
In all competitions, Salah has scored 218 goals for Liverpool in 360 games and is the club's top scorer in EPL history. However, with a crucial decision ahead of his plans to stay or leave Anfield, Liverpool have lined up two exciting Premier League stars to replace him on Merseyside.
In addition to rumors of interest in Salah's international team-mate, Eintracht Frankfurt winger Omar Marmoush, reports from Sky Sports indicate that versatile Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo and Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo are on Arne Slott's radar.
The pair have enjoyed a fine start to the season, with Mbeumo scoring eight goals in nine Premier League appearances, with Semenyo on four in 10.
Mbeumo has the most experience in the Premier League, with 2024/25 his fourth season at Brentford, and the Cameroonian can play on Salah's right-hand side or in the center.
Liverpool's priority is to keep Salah, but with a long-term view in mind as the 33-year-old after the summer, either Mbeumo or Semenyo could be targeted as a future strategy with Mbeumo out of contract with the club by Thomas Frank in 2026.
