Leeds United have checked the availability of an MLS star ahead of the January transfer window, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Daniel Farke recently used the free agent market to bolster his midfield options in the absence of Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev.
Joshua Guilavogui has joined the Whites on a deal that runs until the end of the season to give Farkes another player in central midfield.
Leeds are also considering other midfielders and have 'checked out' LAFC midfielder Lewis O'Brien.
He is a player Leeds have admired for a long time and is currently on loan at LAFC from Nottingham Forest. The American side could sign O'Brien for a fixed fee of £7m when his loan spell expires in January.
O'Brien has no current plans to return to England as he is happy in the US, both on and off the pitch.
Hull City have also been monitoring O'Brien, but LAFC will hope to keep him despite temptations from England.
