Cristiano Ronaldo, one of football’s most recognizable legends, seems to be having the time of his life at Al-Nassr. The Portuguese is now in the final year of an eight-year deal with the Saudi Pro League club and recently expressed his joy to his former trainer Felipe Scolari.
– In 2022, Ronaldo bid his farewell to Manchester United and embraced a new chapter in Saudi Arabia with the most unprecedented football contract. Ronaldo has enjoyed a great period at Al Nassr where he scored 50 goals in all competitions in the last season and closing in on the magical 1000 goals in his career.
During an interview in Riyadh, Scolari narrated a special meeting with Ronaldo by sharing that. I was even more impressed and happy when Cristiano Ronaldo told me, ‘Coach, I am very happy here at Al-Nassr. It just feels good and I can say ‘I live well here,’” Scolari told Al-Nassr’s media.
Of course, for Ronaldo lovers, this is good — he is happy not only in sports but also in his private life. Being surrounded by his family and still producing some of the best performances for his club and national team, the 39-year-old is not ready to hang his boots.
Rumors are arising about the contract renewal period which makes Ronaldo’s time in Saudi Arabia look still long from over. It is perhaps more conceivable that fans perhaps will get to watch him hunt for that total of 1000 goals before he begins his winding down process.
