Barcelona will be looking to start the new season in the Spanish top flight with six successive wins when they travel to Osasuna on Saturday.
The Blaugrana has been able to secure all the seven games they have played right from the initial rounds, considering that they have been/decided to have a long list of injuries which has made it almost impossible for them to field their best side. More recently they suffered the absence of a star goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen for the season due to a torn patellar tendon.
These have been however firmly set back by Barcelona with their young 17-year-old star Lamine Yamal. Following his superlative Euro 2024 campaign with Spain, Yamal has continued the same impressive form in the 2024/25 season where al has scored four goals and has registered 5 assists in mere eight games regardless of the competition.
Barcelona’s achievements are not only attributed to their Yamal, but the side’s veteran striker, Robert Lewandowski. He scored the decisive match in their hard-fought 1-0 win over Getafe in the week that took their start to seven successive wins.
While Real has won three out of four games this season, Osasuna has been unsteady so far getting eleven points in La Liga placing them at the seventh position. Youngsters Bryan Zaragoza and Aimar Oroz have not even reached the peak of their capabilities, and together they managed only one goal and one assist this season. However, the idea of facing a European big giant at home – Barcelona, for instance – is an excellent opportunity to do that.
