How to Watch Manchester United vs Leicester City Live Stream, Lineups & Prediction

Manchester United have just one game remaining before Ruben Amorim takes over as new permanent manager.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has been put in charge on an interim basis following the sacking of Erik ten Hag, with the former United striker keeping the hot spot for Amorim, who joins from Sporting CP.

United beat Leicester 5-2 in the Carabao Cup in the first leg following Ten Hag's departure and Van Nistelrooy will be desperate for a similar result in this Premier League clash as the Foxes travel to Old Trafford again.

A 2-0 UEFA Europa League win over PAOK on Thursday left the interim manager unimpressed with the performance, but at least allowed Amad Diallo to claim a starting spot on Sunday.

Manchester United vs Leicester City  lineups, team news

United will be without Luke Shaw for some time, with Harry Maguire on the long-term absentee list.

Kobbie Mainoo is out with a hamstring problem but could be back soon, although it may be too soon for him, along with summer signing Leny Yoro and winger Antony.

Tyrell Malacia has not played for United since the 2022/23 season through injury and could soon get some game time.

Mason Mount should be available to fill Van Nistelrooy's midfield options after coming on as a substitute against PAOK, as will Christian Eriksen. However, it is unlikely that either player will start. The provisional Premier League squad is self-selected, although Amad Diallo's performance on Thursday could see him move up a place.

Man United (4-2-3-1, from right to left): Onana (GK) - Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot - Ugarte, Casemiro - Rashford, Fernandes, Garnacho - Hojlund

Injured: Yoro, Shaw, Malacia, Mainoo, Maguire, Antony (uncertain)
Suspended: none

Leicester manager Steve Cooper has named a weakened squad for this Carabao Cup tie at Old Trafford, but with domestic survival crucial for the Foxes, they will be playing at full strength this time around.

This means that Boubakary Soumare and Jordan Ayew could challenge for a place after impressing in recent games and starts.

On injury, Cooper will be without back-up goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk, but with Patson Daka and Hamza Choudhury returning to training, the visitors have an almost perfect squad. It is a stark contrast to United's much more serious injury situation. Leicester (4-2-3-1, mëngjarash): Hermansen (GK) - Ricardo, Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiansen - Soumare, Winks - Fatawu, Buonanotte, Ayew - Vardy

injured: Stolarczyk
Suspended: Aucun
