How to Watch Liverpool vs Chelsea Lineups & Prediction

Liverpool will hope to continue their impressive start to their career under Arne Slott when they host Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday in the big Premier League clash.

The Reds have won all but one of their games since the Dutchman replaced Jürgen Klopp as manager and entered the October international break a point clear at the top of the table.

Chelsea are just four points behind, having returned to impressive form under new manager Enzo Maresca, although they were held to a draw at home by Nottingham Forest two weeks ago.

Indeed, Maresca won the Coach of the Month award for September after overseeing three wins in four games, while star performer Cole Palmer picked up the Player of the Month award. That is likely to be key to any positive result on Merseyside, with the Blues beating Liverpool just once in their last 12 meetings in all competitions. Liverpool vs Chelsea  lineups, team news

Slott doesn't expect Alisson to be available until November due to a hamstring injury, so Liverpool will hope Caoimhin Kelleher is fit and healthy to take his place. Vitezslav Jaros made an unlikely debut at Crystal Palace due to Kelleher's illness.

Harvey Elliott is not expected to return until next month after a foot problem. However, Federico Chiesa will aim for just his second Premier League appearance for the Reds, even if he has to come off the bench.

Mohamed Salah must be eager to play after missing out on Egypt's African Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritania due to concerns about playing on an artificial pitch.

Liverpool predicted XI (4-2-3-1, from right to left): Kelleher (GK) - Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson - Gravenberch, Mac Allister - Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo - Jota

Injured: Alisson, Elliott
Suspended: none

There is a chance that club captain Reece James will be fit enough to be in the squad after missing every minute of the season with a muscle problem. Maresca will probably be wary of returning too soon.

Youngster Omari Kellyman is also sidelined, but the Blues also have a largely unblemished health record. That said, there will be two key absences in defense, with Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana both suspended for a series of yellow cards.

Chelsea predicted XI (4-2-3-1, from right to left): Sanchez (GK) - Gusto, Veiga - Caicedo, Fernandez - Madueke, Disasi, Colwill, Palmer, Sancho - Jackson
Injuries: James (doubtful), Kellyman
suspended: Cucurella, Fofana

Liverpool vs Chelsea Prediction

A win for either team would be a decisive victory, but it seems that both teams are not as settled as things are.

Draw, 1-1.
