Hansi Flick has no intention of making it easy for his Barca stars.
La Liga leaders Barca beat city rivals Espanyol 3-1 on Sunday thanks to an 11th goal of the season from Dani Olmo and Raphinha to make it three goals in less than 31 minutes.
Barca threatened to go one better than Real Madrid's 4-0 loss at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend, but the only second-half goal came from Espanyol's Javi Puado as Manolo Gonzalez's side hit back pride However, the Blaugrana are now unbeaten in their last 27 Barcelona Derbies.
Barcelona are nine points clear at the top of La Liga with 11 wins and just one loss, having played one match more than Madrid. But ahead of the trip to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League, Flick reminded his players that the pressure should not be taken off.
"A derby is always difficult. We showed a good level in the first half, but in general, we didn't play as usual," he said. "We lost a lot of balls and that penalized us in the second half.
"For today, it's okay, I can understand that we lost our focus a little bit. But we need more strength for Wednesday."
Flick added: "The important thing is the victory and I emphasized the concentration of all the players in the first half, some very young. Then we fell flat in the second half, which is normal "We had a wonderful season. until now."
