The Red Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-0 to win their second straight game. Brayan Bello was the main attraction, having had a fantastic appearance on the mound.
Bello, the starting pitcher in this outing, had the best performance of the season, going eight shutout innings career-long. He dominated from the very start, almost touching 100 pitches, recording nine strikeouts while allowing just two hits and one walk. In a season of up-and-down starts, Bello flashed everything he's capable of in this outing, taking control of the game and guiding the Red Sox to victory.
The offense of the Boston Red Sox wasn't exactly explosive, but it did enough to win the ballgame. In the top of the first inning, Wilyer Abreu singled in Jarren Duran with an RBI single to put the Sox on the board. The final two runs came courtesy of a two-run homer courtesy of Tyler O'Neill.
The Red Sox play the finale of a series against the Toronto Blue Jays tomorrow night at 7:10 PM EST.
