Following an ankle injury sustained during Norway's 2-1 victory over Austria in the Nations League, Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard is due to undergo an MRI scan. The injury followed a tackle from Christoph Baumgartner of Austria after which Odegaard was seen with his hands on his ankle. He was escorted off stage by his fellow Norwegian player and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland who scored the cute goal 10 minutes later.
Ola Sand, the doctor of the Norwegian national football team, explained that Odegaard was on his way to London to get further medical attention. "He's heading to London and will probably have a scan later on the same day," Sand was quoted saying by VG, saying he would wait for the scans to come back before pointing out the full damage. Footage has since emerged showing Odegaard with crutches using a private jet returning back to England.
They have important games in the league and FA Cup and the coaching staff and fans of the arsenal will have their fingers crossed concerning the updates regarding Odegaard. The result of the scan will help determine the seriousness of the condition and if it is favorable to allow him to return to action anytime within the shortest possible period.
