Brighton star Carlos Baleba has finally spoken out about transfer rumors linking him with Arsenal and Tottenham.
Since taking over from Moises Caicedo, the 20-year-old has quickly become one of the Premier League's most promising talents. But despite the hype, Baleba insists he is not ready to leave the Amex Stadium alone.
Baleba has shown marked improvement this season, flourishing under new coach Fabian Hurzeler. With a goal, an assist, and a series of good performances, Baleba is attracting the attention of the best clubs. However, the midfielder seems to be focusing on his club and personal growth rather than an expensive transfer.
What does Carlos Baleba say about transfer links?
In an interview with Sky Sports News, Baleba emphasized that he is committed to Brighton and is not considering a transfer. "I don't think so: play two or three years and then leave," he said. "In my head, it is to work and help my club."
The Cameroonian talent added that he values teamwork and personal growth over the hype surrounding my transfer, saying: “If there are big clubs that want me, it's not something that worries me or excites me. I just work hard and keep a cool head. »
With Brighton's history of lucrative player sales, any potential suitor would have to offer a significant sum - likely more than £50m ($64m) - to secure Baleba.
The Seagulls are in no rush to sell, especially as Baleba is still honing his skills and could be worth even more if he continues to improve.
For now, Arsenal and Spurs will have to look elsewhere as Baleba remains focused on helping Brighton and reaching his highest potential.
