Liverpool's head coach, Ar Slot, felt pretty frustrated. His streak in the Premier League came to an end with a -0 loss against Nottingham Forest.
Heading into the September international break, things looked great! The Reds had three wins in three matches, so Slot was having a fantastic start in Merseyside. But then came this match. Forrest put on a brilliant display at Anfield. Callum Hudson-Odoi scored a last-minute goal that gave the visitors victory.
When reporters asked Slot about the game, he shared his thoughts on why Liverpool couldn't control things. The away team took their chances and won.
"Even without the ball, we did what we had to do," he said, "and barely allowed any counterattacks, except for the ones that led to goals." (That's kind of annoying, isn't it?) He added that "when you have the ball 70 percent of the time, you should create more chances than we did."
Slot believed some players could have done better too.
He didn’t point fingers at anyone specific after the game, which was nice! He kept the same starting lineup for the third time in a row.
Goalkeeper Alisson seemed upset with substitute Conor Bradley after Hudson-Odoi got past him for that goal. Now, Slot will have to think about mixing things up for their UEFA Champions League match against AC Milan on September 17.
But good news! Liverpool isn't dealing with new injuries from that weekend loss. Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo might just be good options to start since there are just over 72 hours before they play again!
